Week 12 College Football TV Schedule

Similar to last week, Week 12 of the College Football season is somewhat light on big games until prime time. Starting at 7:30, there are 4 great games to watch on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and FX.  You can also hop over to ESPN Goal Line and let them do the channel surfing for you.

On to the games….

Early Game to Watch: Nebraska @ Michigan (Noon ET)
After a big win last week at Penn State, Nebraska heads to the big house hoping to keep it’s Big Ten championship dreams alive. They’re one game behind Michigan State in the Legends division, but hold the tie breaker over the Spartans.  To win, they’ll need to slow dual threat Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson.  This task might be easier than in the weeks past, as Robinson will be playing with the sprained wrist he suffered in last week’s win against Illinios. Michigan’s chances of winning the Big Ten are slim to none, but a win this week with Michigan State loss will keep them alive in the race.

Other games to watch:
Wisconsin @ Illinois (Noon ET)
Cincinnati @ Rutgers (Noon ET)
Kentucky @ Georgia (12:21pm ET)

Mid-Day Game to Watch: Penn State @ Ohio State (3:30pm ET)
A year ago, both of these teams were at the top of the Big Ten and were two of the most prized programs in all of the NCAA.  What a difference a year makes. Ohio State has been under investigation by the NCAA for almost a year after it was discovered players were trading memorabilia for discounted tattoos and cash. Their problems now seem minor compared to what’s transpired at Penn State.  Even with all of the turmoil, Penn State can win the Leaders division with a win this week at the Horseshoe, something they’ve only done once since joining the Big Ten.  A loss means they have a must-win game next week against a good Wisconsin team.

Other games to watch:
Mississippi State @ Arkansas (3:30pm ET)
Clemson @ NC State (3:30pm ET)
Miami @ South Florida (3:30pm ET)
Boston College @ Notre Dame (4:00pm ET)

Late Game to Watch: USC @ Oregon (8:00pm ET)
Oregon has a ton on the line this week. They’re playing for a PAC-12 title as well as a chance for the National Championship.  They’ll need to beat a USC team that’s only playing to crush other’s dreams, as they are on a postseason ban related to NCAA violations dating back to the Pete Carroll/Reggie Bush days. LaMichael James is back from his elbow injury and looked like his old self in the win against Stanford last week. USC has struggled against James in the past: he has 422 rushing yards and 4 TDs in two games against the Trojans. USC will rely on the arm of quarterback Matt Barkley, considered a  top 10 pick in next year’s NFL draft.  His task will be tough, especially considering he might be without his top target Robert Woods, who is dealing with ankle and shoulder problems.

Other games to Watch:
Virginia @ Florida State (7:30pm ET)
Oklahoma @ Baylor (8:00pm ET)
Kansas State @ Texas (8:00pm ET)
