The launch of SEC Network today (Aug. 14, 2014), a new national network from ESPN and the Southeastern Conference, is now on Bright House Networks, so customers can enjoy an all-access pass to the most storied conference in college athletics. SEC Network is available to all Bright House Networks Digital TV customers in both Standard Digital and HD formats.
Channel numbers are as follows (by service area):
- Bakersfield: 166/1166 HD
- Birmingham: 95 & 410/1410 HD
- Southern Alabama and Panhandle: 86/345 HD
- Detroit: 166/366 HD
- Indianapolis: 469/1469 HD
- Central Florida (Orlando): 54/1150 HD
- Tampa: 72/1150 HD
With SEC Network, Bright House Networks customers can see:
- 24/7 coverage of all 21 SEC sports
- 45 football games, starting Aug. 28 with South Carolina versus Texas A&M.
- 100 men’s basketball games
- 60 women’s basketball games
- 75 baseball games
- 50 softball games
Plus classic games, live events and original studio programming such as the ESPN-produced “Storied” documentary series on SEC schools. Starting Aug. 15, the network will air 14 consecutive days of programming focused on specific SEC schools. The SEC Network show on each of the SEC’s 14 member universities will include team previews, SEC features and some of the greatest games in each school’s recent history. The 14-day window of coverage will conclude with Texas A&M at South Carolina, the network’s first football game at 6 p.m. on Aug. 28.
