There is no “I” in Team

You all know the old adage, “there’s no ‘I’ in team.”  I am a firm proponent of that mantra, and it is how we at Bright House Networks operate as a company, and, most importantly, think of our customers.

In today’s multi-tasking world, it has never been more important to have a team behind you to help navigate the ever-changing technology waters.  According to a recent Deloitte poll on consumer digital habits, the TV-watching experience is changing dramatically.  A full 42% of American consumers surf the Internet while watching the television, 29% talk on their phones while the TV is on and 26% of consumers are texting or sending instant messages.

So, how do we keep track of it all, and still actually connect with each other? It’s a question we have to answer every day for our families and for ourselves.

It’s pretty normal for me to be talking on the phone, reading email on my laptop while the television is on in the background while getting dinner together.  At the same time, my daughter is on our iPad playing a game and my husband is checking his mobile phone for the latest sports talk on Twitter.  With so many simultaneous activities that are technology driven, I can’t help but think of several of our services that keeps it all moving forward as we get ready to sit down at the dinner table.  Our High Speed Internet which in our case is Road Runner Lightning.  If you have it, you know all about multiple people using the same network while being online simultaneously, and not having to worry about slowing each other down in the process.  Then there’s our Digital Video Recorder (DVR) also known as my favorite house guest.  My DVR works extremely hard for the entire family and usually holds about 75%-80% of programming including cartoons, football games and my favorite shows.  In so many ways, we’re really not missing anything and we’re watching it whenever we want to watch it.  And, if you do forget, there’s Start Over with Look Back and Video On Demand programming (I’m a huge fan of Primetime On Demand.) with hours of shows that are popular on every major network and channel available.

One thing I know is we’ve all got enough going on, so with the help of each other and a little technology here and there, we can keep a steady balance of our everyday lives.

Let us know what you think our team at Bright House Networks can do to help make life with your home team easier.  We’d love to add your ideas to our game plan.

What’s your favorite multitasking tip?
