Holiday Cheer For Military Members in Bakersfield

Bright House Networks added to the holiday joy of many military members and their families as they presented a donation to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post in Bakersfield as part of its 12 Days of Giving Campaign. A number of VFW members, including 1st Sergeant Paul Gonzalez, joined Bright House Networks Mari Perez at the check presentation ceremony on December 27.

Mari Perez of Bright House Networks presents support to the VFW post in Bakersfield, California.

VFW fosters camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts.  It serves veterans, the military, and their communities and advocates on behalf of all veterans. The VFW ensures that veterans are respected for their service, always receive their earned entitlements, and are recognized for their sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of this country.

Bright House Networks’ 12 Days of Giving campaign was designed to support charitable organizations in its local communities that are focused on helping the military, homeless, hungry and children.  During the 12 days, which ran from December 1-12, Bright House Networks posted a different picture of an item in need on its Facebook page. The items ranged from razors for military personnel to baby formula and diapers for children.  For every person who shared the photo of the day, Bright House Networks committed to donate that same number of items to a charity in each of its local communities.
