Helping Those in Need in Bakersfield

Mari Perez of Bright House Networks presented the 12 Days of Giving donation to Community Action Partnership of Kern.

On December 20, Bright House Networks employees were pleased to provide a donation to Community Action Partnership of Kern as part of its 12 Days of Giving Campaign.

Since 1965, Community Action Partnership of Kern (CAPK) has been working to provide an integrated network of services as the official anti-poverty agency for the county of Kern. CAPK is Kern County’s largest non-profit organization, and provides and advocates for resources that will empower Kern County residents to become self-sufficient.

Bright House Networks’ 12 Days of Giving campaign was designed to support charitable organizations in its local communities that are focused on helping the military, homeless, hungry and children.  During the 12 days, which ran from December 1-12, Bright House Networks posted a different picture of an item in need on its Facebook page. The items ranged from razors for military personnel to baby formula and diapers for children.  For every person who shared the photo of the day, Bright House Networks committed to donate that same number of items to a charity in each of its local communities.
