Giving Back During the Thanks4Giving Blood Drive in Tampa Bay

Prior to Thanksgiving, there has been an ongoing tradition that Bright House Networks and Florida Blood Services partner to present the annual Thanks4Giving Blood Drive in the Tampa Bay area.

USF Homecoming Queen, Stephanie Howard volunteers to give blood at a Sweetbay Supermarket Florida Blood Services Bloodmobile.

All were invited to give blood at participating Sweetbay Supermarkets or Florida Blood Services donor centers.  All lifesaving donors received a $10 voucher to Sweetbay.  Donors were also entered for a chance to WIN a $250 gift certificate redeemable towards any Bright House Networks services.

923 total units were collected between donor rooms and Sweetbay Supermarket locations !  What’s even more amazing is each unit could save up to three people’s lives.

Tirzah Zielinski, Promotions Manager at Florida Blood Services said, “Bright House Networks’ support is vital in helping us provide the more than 1,000 blood donations required by patients each day in the local hospitals that we serve.”

We are so thankful to be partnered with Florida Blood Services and with the community each year for this Thanksgiving tradition!

How do you give back in your community during Thanksgiving? Do you have any family traditions of volunteering locally or donating to those in need?
