Get Your 3D Glasses Ready! Rose Bowl Parade in 3D

With the prediction that 55 percent of all U.S. theaters will be equipped with 3D equipment by the end of 2015, and the fact that roughly 33 percent of movie earnings are now generated from 3D films, you have probably heard a lot of talk about 3D. And rightly so since it has become one of the hottest tickets at the theater these days…

WHAT IF you take it a step further and view 3D in the comfort of your own home, on your very own TV set, all cozy on your favorite “home theater” chair? You wouldn’t even have to sneak in the popcorn and candy. (Not that you ever did that or even thought about it.)

Sign me up, right?

As 3D becomes one of the most sought after new technologies for viewing entertainment anywhere, it’s important to us for you to know that we are working on providing more programming that our customers can enjoy on their 3D TV sets in the comfort of their home.

To kick off the New Year, Bright House Networks will feature commercial-free coverage of the 123rdTournament of Roses® parade live in 3D on Monday, January 2.  Our digital HD customers in Florida will have access to enjoy striking 3D coverage of the Tournament of Roses Parade from Pasadena, California.

From the official press release: The 123rd Tournament of Rose Parade, themed “Just Imagine,” will feature J.R. Martinez, retired soldier and this year’s Dancing With the Stars winner, as Grand Marshall, in addition to majestic floral floats, high-stepping equestrian units and spirited marching bands. Viewers will enjoy a front row seat for the parade as Emmy® Award-winning entertainment reporter Nancy O’Dell joins internationally acclaimed landscape designer/HGTV host Jamie Durie of The Outdoor Room and television producer/host Robb Weller on the announcer’s platform for this year’s festivities. Coverage will begin at 11:00 a.m. ET / 8:00 a.m. PT on Monday, January 2 on HGTV.
