Typhoon Haiyan, which hit the Philippines on November 8, was more than three times as powerful as Hurricane Katrina which hit the U.S. eight years ago.
In the wake of this crisis, Bright House Networks is here to help Filipino Americans stay connected with friends and family in the Philippines. Through November 30, The Filipino Channel (TFC) is available to Digital customers in our Central Florida, Tampa, Bakersfield and Detroit service areas. TFC has been providing special coverage on the ground in the Philippines since Typhoon Haiyan happened last Friday and continues to inform the world about recovery efforts and the local impact in the Philippines.
In addition to watching the special coverage, all Home Phone customer calls to the Philippines are free of charge through the end of November. Retroactive to calls beginning November 8 and continuing through November 30, Bright House Networks’ Home Phone customers will not be charged for any calls to land lines or cell phone numbers in the Philippines. Customers who are making calls to the Philippines during this time period will be issued a credit on their Home Phone account for any direct dial calls made to the Philippines, with no hassle and no need to do anything else.
