Florida Sons Adult Inline Hockey Team Defeats Labeda Venezuela

Team Wins ECHO Fall Classic in Fort Myers on Sunday, October 6th

The Florida Sons AAU inline hockey team based in Eustis defeated Labeda Venezuela 6-5 to win the Gold, or top division of the East Coast Hockey Organization (ECHO) 2013 Fall Classic international tournament Sun., Oct. 6 at The Skatium in Fort Myers.

The Florida Sons, whose players include Mark and Jon Craven of Eustis, went 5-0, defeating teams from Florida, Colombia and Venezuela. Team Manager Pam Craven was also awarded ECHO 2013 Hockey Mom of the Year honors for her 17 years of involvement in the sport. Also at the tournament, the Florida Sons 18 and under team won their division, defeating the Misfits from Lake Worth 4-1 in the finals to achieve a 5-0 record.
