USA Network and Bright House Networks want to recognize these unsung heroes with a 2012 Characters Unite Award. Winners will get a $5,000 grant to help continue or build on their incredible projects.
In 2009, we honored Jessica Estevez, the Director of Programs for the St. Petersburg-based Community Tampa Bay. We invite you to learn more about Jessica by watching the above video. As Director of Programs, Jessica develops and manages leadership and diversity education programs designed to empower high school students with knowledge and tools to help them combat social injustice. By influencing attitudes and behaviors through their initiatives in the areas of education, advocacy and conflict mediation, Community Tampa Bay promotes dialogue and respect among all cultures, religions and races.
