Celebrating with Friends at the Livonia Spree

In 1973, Livonia’s birthday party was named Spree 23 by Industrial Development coordinator Daniel Gilmartin as a befitting name for the town’s 23rd birthday.  Kiddie rides were added, civic groups were involved as food vendors, entertainment was added to the existing groups and massive feeding was gone.  Spree 23 was an entertainment and monetary success, and having the core of energetic workers, a tribute to the city coming together.

And these days, the party continues…

40 years later the Livonia Anniversary Committee Continues to bring our community together every year to celebrate their city. Held at Ford Field at the corner of Farmington Road and Lyndon the last full week in June. This year it starts tomorrow through Sunday, June 30.

Kids enjoying their night out at the Livonia Spree

On the Livonia Spree website, there is something at the event for everyone in the family:  delicious food; great music ranging from Country to jazz; a fantastic family carnival; and of course, the Grand Finale Fireworks Extravaganza on Sunday night.

In honor of  Bright House Networks’ 10 year anniversary, we partnered with the Livonia Spree on Facebook to give out some free ride vouchers to our customers. So far, several of you have shared how we have been a friend for your chance to win. Here’s what a few of you have to say so far:

Heidi – “I love how brighthouse is always at kids safety day and the spree. Always great service and employees have a smile.”

Brenden M. – “Bright House has been my friend as long as I’ve been alive (before that for my family since my dad worked there). We had bright house for as long as we could.
