Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida President Gary Cain presented Bright House Networks with the organization’s highest annual honor, the Partnership Award, at the organization’s 2013 Annual Meeting recently held in Orlando.

Cain said Bright House Networks earned the 2012 Partnership Award by being a great long-time partner and by providing no-cost Internet service to computer labs in all the Boys and Girls Club chapters that serve 13,000 boys and girls in Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Brevard counties.  The computer labs are popular with the boys and girls for the afterschool tutoring they can receive with the help of volunteer tutors, and also for the opportunities for online fun the Internet-connected computers provide.

Bright House Networks, one of the largest overall sponsors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, provides cash support and other special resources such as tickets to sporting events and activities at the clubs in addition to the no-cost Internet service.

The award certificated presented by Cain to Bright House Networks reads, “With grateful appreciation for your continued dedication, compassion and service to Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida. Our Club members are benefiting from the support and generosity Bright House Networks provides to our Clubs across the community.”

Bright House Networks also provides the same no-cost Internet service to the computer labs that serve more than 1,600 boys and girls ages six through 18 who belong to the eight chapters of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Volusia/Flagler Counties.
