A&E Series “Intervention” to Hold Town Hall Discussion in Orlando

It touches almost everyone in our society…addiction.  That is why we understand that it’s so important to hold a community conversation.   In order to do that we have teamed up with the popular A&E Networks program Intervention.

Together we will host a Town Hall forum, specifically on the problems confronting us right here in Central Florida.  We hope to enlighten and confront the heartbreaking issue of alcohol and drug abuse.

Do you want your voice heard? If your answer is yes, we invite you to join us at the Orlando Science Center for a televised event on Thursday, April 5.  We encourage anyone who has family, friends or found themselves in the throes of addiction to attend this important gathering.   It will be your chance to share your stories and shed light on the issues of prescription drug abuse among other diseases of addiction.

Our panel will include: Ybeth Bruzual, Anchor, Central Florida News 13 (moderator); Jeff VanVonderan, Board Registered Interventionist, Level II; Judge Reginald K. Whitehead, Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida; Dr. Stacy Seikel, Medical Director, The Center for Drug-Free Living, Inc.; and Tom Foy, Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

With so many impacted by addiction to drugs or alcohol – the importance of this type of conversation is important. There is a great need for education and prevention to stop the problem before it begins with an intervention and treatment of the disease for those afflicted.

To join the conversation,  RSVP for the event by emailing rsvpintervention at my bright house dot com.

Make your voices heard starting today…Share with others, in our comment section, on how you or someone you know has dealt with addiction.
